Most crop conditions saw a decline this week in USDA’s latest Crop Progress Report.
Corn is now rated 53 percent good to excellent, down one point from last week, and that is with 5 percent already harvested nationwide.
Soybeans lost a point at 56 percent in the top category, and 10 percent of winter wheat is in the ground, which is up seven points from a week ago.
Cotton is rated 33 percent good to excellent, which is down two points from last week. Nationally, 8 percent of cotton has been harvested. USDA predicts Oklahoma and Texas will produce less than half the amount from 2021.
