Wheat prices increase more as attacks continue in the Black Sea region

Wheat prices are up both here and in Europe largely due to the continued unrest in Ukraine.

Over the weekend, Ukrainian forces hit a Russian oil tanker leaving it damaged in the Black Sea. The New York Times reports the ship is used to transport fuel for Russian forces.

Also, over the weekend, around 40 countries gathered hoping to find a resolution to the unrest. Talks were hosted by Saudi Arabia and included countries like China, India, and the United States. Participants left in agreement to continue working to find a peaceful resolution. Russia did not attend the discussions.
