Life can get busy — and American Farm Families like Aaron and Jamie Lee of Vermillion Parish, Louisiana, are no strangers to that.
Aaron is a sixth-generation farmer who says farming is just in his blood.
“As of right now, as we speak, I have roughly 900 acres of ground that are marked to put sugar cane on—possibly more,” Lee said. “If we have some success, you know, I might expand that into some of our family lands.”
The Lee family are finalists for the 2023 Louisiana Young Farmer and Rancher Achievement Award, which will be announced at the Louisiana Farm Bureau Annual Convention later this week.
