Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) says the United States should send Navy ships to the Black Sea to help ensure Ukrainian grain ships get through.
Sen. Grassley says Russia’s attacks are an attack on global supplies, and the U.S. State Department has repeatedly called out the country for using food as a “weapon of war.”
While President Biden has been cautious about sending our Navy out, the senator and Agriculture Committee member believes it is important.
“It would just make sure that freedom of the seas international law, that’s been international law for centuries, it would make sure that free passage, is respected,” Sen. Grassley said Friday on RFD-TV’s Market Day Report.
